Avenue of the DeadDay of the Dead offering alterOur 2005 group

For two thousand years, the great pyramids of Teotihuacan have inspired and awed travelers to the lands of central Mexico. It isn’t just the sheer scale of the temples and pyramids, the mathematical and astronomical precision of their construction; nor is it the beauty and durability of the ancient frescos and carvings. What takes our breath away about this place is the possibility within ourselves that it reflects back to us: the possibility of experiencing in ourselves and in each other the highest expression of divinity. This is the promise of Teotihuacan, spoken of by the ancient mystics of every tradition: it is “a place to merge with God.”

Each day of our journey to Teotihuacan includes opportunities for building lasting friendships, journaling and deep personal reflection, celebration, shopping, sightseeing, and pampering. From the airport, we are taken by private, air-conditioned vans to our hotel, the beautiful Hotel Villa Arqueologica, located on the ancient temple grounds. Each morning after breakfast, we walk nearby to the entrance of Teotihuacan and spend several hours exploring the site, sharing sacred ceremony, and returning to the hotel in time for lunch. The afternoons are free for your own exploration of the grounds, shopping, or a dip in the pool. We gather again in the evenings for teaching and sharing.
