Typically gay vacations involve no conscious purpose other than to "get away". Gay vacations or gay travel with Spirit Journeys involves conscious travel to a place that is often sacred in nature and usually with a specific spiritual intention. Most Spirit Journeyers return home with more than they came with, having gained some personal insight from the places they have visited. The places we visit can be natural wonders like Monument Valley or man-made like Teotihuacan. Wherever we go, we go with the intention of connecting to the place and/or the people there. This connecting allows us to learn about ourselves, not just about the places we visit. Out travel with a group of gay men and women that have the same general purpose adds to the intensity of gay travel with Spirit Journeys. Not only do we learn from the places we visit, we also learn from those that travel with us.
