Our guide on this journey will be Teotihuacan itself -- one of the greatest artistic, architectural, scientific, psychological and spiritual masterpieces of the ancient word, and the living library of the ancient Toltec Masters. Teotihuacan can be translated as, "The Place Where Gods are Born." The old Mexica stories tell of the "gods" -- the holy energies of this world -- coming together at important moments in history to reveal a new light to humanity. According to many elders, we are in such a time now, and the time has come for us to restore our relationship with the sacred cosmos and rediscover the deepest truth and love that waits in our own hearts. I have trained for over twenty-five years in this tradition, including ten years with Don Miguel Ruiz, author of "The Four Agreeements," and I am so excited to share the wisdom, practices, and love of this tradition and this magnificent place with you! |

Each morning after breakfast, we will spend several hours exploring the site of Teotihuacan and sharing sacred ceremony, then return to the hotel in time for a late lunch. Every afternoon of our journey includes free time for building lasting friendships, journaling and deep personal reflection, celebration, shopping, sightseeing, and pampering. We will gather in the evenings for dinner, teaching, sharing, breathing, movement and dreaming practices.
Our home in Mexico is the beautiful Dreaming House, located on ancient temple grounds, and now a private sanctuary for Toltec teachers and their groups during sacred pilgrimages to Teotihuacan. Family meals of delicious country Mexican food are freshly prepared with skill and love. Here, miracles seem normal, and are -- it's a magical place for a magical time!
Our journey will also include a trip to the extraordinary Museo Anthropologica, one of the finest collections of ancient artifacts and cultural displays in the world, and a pilgrimage to the Basilica de Guadalupe, the ancient home of the Divine Mother of the Americas, for healing ceremony and meditation. Your Guide: Hunter Flournoy is a shamanic healer and teacher in the Universal Toltec Tradition. He helps people breathe free again, love themselves and their lives, and live their dreams. He spent ten years apprenticing and teaching in the Toltec lineage of Don Miguel Ruiz, until the place itself began to sing to him and through him as a powerful stream of wisdom and love he calls the Art of the Universal Toltec. He is a a pioneer in the use of breathwork in trauma and addiction treatment and the creator of Somatic Breath Coaching, and his work integrates two decades as a licensed psychotherapist with twenty-five years of experience in the world's shamanic and mystical traditions, including the Buddhist, Sufi, Eastern Christian, Toltec, and Currandero traditions. Hunter offers individual sessions by phone and in person, retreats, ceremonies, and journeys around the world.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE DREAMING HOUSE: We will provide transportation between Mexico City airport and The Dreaming House, provided you arrive within the group arrival and departure parameters.
ARRIVAL: You must arrive at the Mexico City Airport by 2:00 pm on May 10th to meet the group at 3:00 pm and make the bus to Teotihuacan.
DEPARTURE: Schedule your departure from the Mexico City Airport no earlier than 2:00 pm on May 15th.
TEMPERATURE: The temperature in MEXICO in May ranges between 81 in the daytime and 53 at night, with sunny skies and the occasional rainstorm

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: You need a passport for travel between The United States and Mexico. Your passport MUST be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. You are responsible for booking your travel arrangements in and out of Mexico City Airport, and emailing those arrangements to Spirit Journeys so we can monitor your flight and make sure we are there to meet you! Please include day, date, airline, flight numbers, departing city, arrival city, departure and arrival times.
PHYSICAL PREPARATIONS: I understand much of this trip will occur at high altitude (greater than 5,000 feet.) Since most of us do not live at this elevation, some preparation will be helpful to assist our bodies with this adjustment. Spirit Journeys and our guides will provide ample support for your wellbeing during the trip but some groundwork on your part will be beneficial. I agree to consult with my medical practitioner to lay the groundwork for a stress free trip. I also agree to begin a program of light physical exercise to be ready for the moderate levels climbing and hiking that are part of this journey.
COVID REQUIREMENTS, GUIDELINES and EXPECTATIONS: I understand that Hunter Flournoy, Spirit Journeys, The Dreaming House, their agents and employees will do everything they can to protect retreat participants, staff, and the general public in compliance with all CDC (Center for Disease Control), federal, state, and local laws and public health guidelines, and will keep me informed of those steps in a timely manner. I also understand that these precautions may change and evolve over time, in response to the evolving public health situation. I agree to comply with these precautions, and I understand that failure to comply with these written or verbal instructions from staff may result in being denied access or asked to leave the premises, without a refund. I understand that all participants are required to complete an at-home Antigen or PCR test in the 24 hours before traveling, to test again upon arrival and show their results, and to test again if covid-19 symptoms develop, bringing at least two tests to the event at their own expense. I understand that participants will be asked to refrain from attending if they have experienced respiratory symptoms, tested positive for Covid-19, or been exposed to someone known or suspected to be sick with Covid-19. I understand that Hunter Flournoy, Spirit Journeys, The Dreaming House, their agents and employees are not responsible for any potential exposure to Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19.

CANCELATION, CREDIT AND REFUND POLICY: Cancellations made before March 1, 2024 are subject to the forfeiture of all deposit monies paid (unless we can find another person to fill your reservation). Reservations cancelled between March 1 and April 1, 2024 are subject to a cancellation fee in the amount of 50% of the workshop cost. Reservations cancelled on or after April 10, 2024 are subject to a cancellation fee in the amount of 100% of the workshop cost and are non-refundable. You may want to consider purchasing a commercial travel insurance policy that would include trip cancellation protection. Hunter Flournoy and Spirit Journeys also reserve the right to cancel any program at any time, including Act of God, safety reasons, emergencies, reasons beyond our control, or under-enrollment. Should a program cancellation become necessary for any of these reasons, including under-enrollment, before or after participant departure, every effort will be made to refund recoverable costs to participants.
